Who can Apply?

  • Nationality: To be eligible for Japanese ODA (Official Development Assistance), you must be a citizen of an ADB borrowing member nation.
  • Age: At the time of application, you must be younger than 35. With permission from the Japanese government, exceptions are granted in exceptional circumstances.
  • Professional Experience: After graduating from college, you must have worked as a professional full-time for at least two years.
  • Academic Background: A solid academic record and a bachelor’s degree are prerequisites.
  • Language Proficiency: Since the majority of programs are taught in English, proficiency in the language is crucial.
  • Health and Commitment: You should be in good health and must agree to return to your home country for at least two years after completing the program to contribute to its development.

How to Apply?
